North Campus
Preschool/Kindergarten Program
Program Highlights
-
Each month is theme-oriented and includes
may special days and specific learning goals involving shapes, numbers,
colors, and letters.
-
There will be seasonal and special parties,
field trips, guest speakers, and parent-teacher conferences.
-
Classroom schedules will posted outside each
classroom.
-
God's Time: Each class period for
approximately 10 minutes the children will learn about the love of
Christ and listen to or take part in the the telling of basic Christian
stories. Blessing is said at snack time. Each week all
students attend chapel in the sanctuary. During chapel the
students will hear a short children's sermon, see a visual aid from the
Jesus bag, sing songs, and recite chapel verses.
-
We have many special days and activities.
-
We watch each child very carefully to ensure
they reach their potential. The Leavenworth/Lansing Early
Childhood Special Education Services (COOP) is available for students
who need additional guidance in certain areas such as speech, hearing,
fine and gross motor skills, communication skills, academic skills, and
emotional skills. If we feel this service would be to your child's
advantage, we will recommend that they be evaluated by the COOP.
Early detection is the key! It is proven that if a child is helped
at a young age (3-5 years), it is very successful.
