Jean Romig

Jean Romig has served as the Director of Music at Trinity since 1994 and directs the Senior Choir,  New Life Ringers Handbell Choir, and Trinity Singers and contributes as a soloist  for the traditional worship services.  For the Celebrative Praise contemporary service, she coordinates the music with our talented organists/keyboardists Marsha Denney and Gina Garner.  Jean sings and plays guitar for this worship  service.    Her great joy is serving in worship and using the gifts of music to powerfully proclaim the Gospel.  It is an added privilege to serve both at Trinity and in the extended community. The Senior Choir has been blessed to host an annual choral festival for the community directed by Dr. John Leavitt and to travel to New York to Carnegie Hall and Washington D.C. to the Kennedy Center  to sing in festival choruses.

Jean has been singing in choirs almost all her life beginning in a children’s choir in Chicago.  Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Music degree magna cum laude in voice performance from Kansas State University, graduate work in music history and choral performance at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat in Munich, Germany, and certification in music education K-12 from Ottawa University and MidAmerica Nazarene University.  Additional graduate conducting courses and music education symposiums were completed at the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Kansas State University.   She has also attended many worship and music conferences sponsored by the LCMS.

Music is a  blessed gift that touches all our hearts and minds.  The music ministry of Trinity  is an incredible group of many people using the talents given by God to serve the people of Trinity and the community.  Come join us!  To God be the glory!
